DNA Breed Testing for Dogs
MMI Genomics has recently launched the first Dog DNA Breed Test. The test determines just what breed(s) your dog is, if included in their 38 potential breeds. They expects to have more breeds indentifiable soon. The testing is completely non-invasive, taken from a swab of the mouth by the pet owner and sent to the company. The dog owner should hear results within 4-6 weeks. The fee is $65 per dog. It solves owners of mix breed dogs biggest confusion, What breed mix is my dog? The testing can also help with veterinary concerns that may vary from breed to breed.
